How to give a wave fill effect in AS3

This is just a hint not a tutorial.... I was just given an assignment to get this thing done as a preloader.... so I used a animated mask which I created as movieclip in flash and used it as mask for the inner fill of the object. I just tweened the mask and was getting a liquid fill effect in the swf file.
