A former Petrol Pump attendant's House

Yes! he's Mukesh Ambani. He was a petrol pump attendant and now he owns the most costliest house in the world. Its named Antilia  and is now ready for possesion in Mumbai. Ambani wanted to have a custom house. They consulted with architecture firms Perkins + Will and Hirsch Bedner Associates, the designers behind the Mandarin Oriental, based in Dallas and Los Angeles, respectively.

The only remotely comparable high-rise property currently on the market is the $70 million triplex penthouse at the Pierre Hotel in New York, designed to resemble a French chateau, and climbing 525 feet in the air. When the Ambani residence is finished in January, completing a four-year process, it will be 550 feet high with 400,000 square feet of interior space.

The home will cost more than a hotel or high-rise of similar size because of its custom measurements and fittings: A hotel or condominium has a common layout, replicated on every floor, and uses the same materials throughout the building (such as door handles, floors, lamps and window treatments).

Here is some cool Information about his new house.

This is the house they are living at present.

This was the proposed architecture.

  27 FLOORS
According to the plan, the house will rise to a height of 173.12 meters, equivalent to that of a regular 60-storeyed residential building. However, Antilia will have only 27 storeys in all, which means each floor will have a ceiling considerably higher than the current average of nearly three meters.
Six floors for parking
The first six floors — which have come up — will be reserved for parking alone, and that too for cars belonging only to Mukesh's family. Space for a total of 168 'imported' cars has been earmarked here.
Floor for car maintenance
Sources said the Ambanis would prefer to have all their cars serviced and maintained at an in-house service centre. This centre will be set up on the seventh floor.
Entertainment floor
The eighth floor will have an entertainment centre comprising a mini-theatre with a seating capacity of 50.
Balconies with gardens
The rooftop of the mini-theatre will serve as a garden, and immediately above that, three more balconies with terrace gardens will be independent floors.
The 'health' floors
While the ninth floor will a 'refuge' floor — meant to be used for rescue in emergencies — two floors above that will be set aside for 'health.' One of these will have facilities for athletics and a swimming pool, while the other will have a health club complete with the latest gym equipment.
For guests
There will be a two-storeyed glass-fronted apartment for the Ambani family's guests above the health floors. One more refuge floor and one floor for mechanical works will be built on top of these apartments.
Family
The four floors at the top, that will provide a view of the Arabian Sea and a superb view of the city's skyline, will be for Mukesh, his wife Neeta, their three children and Mukesh's mother Kokilaben.
Air space floor
According to the plan, two floors above the family's residence will be set aside as maintenance areas, and on top of that will be an "air space floor," which will act as a control room for helicopters landing on the helipad above.
Helipad
The plan states that three helipads are to be built on the terrace.
However, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officials told this paper that permission for the helipads has not been granted yet.
"The residential plans were approved three-four years ago. Two levels of basement have also been shown in the proposed project," Sudhir Shinde, deputy engineer at the BMC's building proposals department said.
Staff
Nearly 600 staffers are expected to work full-time in the building, sources said.
Total stats
According to BMC records, the total area of Mukesh's Altamount Road plot is 4,532.39 square meters. The proposed built-up area is 4,778.09 square meters (only for residential purposes), and the permissible built-up area 4,939.81 square meters.

What Is Antilia?

Antilia (or Antillia) is a phantom island said to lie in the Atlantic Ocean far to the west of Spain. This mythical island had several other names such as Isle of Seven Cities, Ilha das Sete Cidades (Portuguese), Septe Cidades, Sanbrandan (or St Brendan), etc. Antilia was also identified with islands including the Isles of the Blest and the Fortunate Islands.
The origin of the name is uncertain. The oldest suggested etymology (1455) fancifully connects it with the name of the Platonic Atlantis, while later writers have endeavoured to derive it from the Latin anterior (i.e. the island that is reached "before" Cipango), or from the Jezirat al Tennyn, "Dragon's Isle," of the Arabian geographers.
The legend of the islands seems to have arisen at the latest in pre-Christian Roman times when Plutarch chronicled (in 74 AD) the life of Roman military commander and Consul of Spain Quintus Sertorius (died 75 BC). After returning by sea to Spain after a campaign in "Mauretania" (modern northern Morocco), Sertorius "met some sailors who had recently come back from the Atlantic Islands." It was from these men that Sertorius learned facts so beguiling that he made it his life's ambition to find the islands and retire there.

Top 3 money makers for your site Leaving Adsense

I was just doing some R&D on moneymakers on internet which can be bit useful for bloggers like me. While I was doing this, I got a feeling that "Google Is Evil"(this has nothing to do with they banning my adsense account last year for no reason). At First, I thought of making a general list of 5 or 10, then I got a feeling of deviating from a normal course of action and I came up with a list of top three. As tracking of too many ads can be a bit tedious. Hope you will be able to earn some money from them. Here they are:

Adbrite

Adbrite is among the one of the emerging leaders in Advertising. A publisher can display a wide no. of ads in variety of styles.
They basically offer:
  • Text Ads
  • Banner Ads
  • Full Page Ads(now this is interesting as your site will be covered by another site, but visitor will have an option to skip the ad)

Chitika eMiniMalls
Chitika Minimalls is kinda site which is kinda very technical. they provide hell lot sort of ads in some really admirable ways. The Payout is also nice.

Get Chitika eMiniMalls

WidgetBucks
Earn $$ with WidgetBucks!

WidgetBucks are another way of monetizing your site/blog. They have jazzy advertisements that will look like a WEB 2.0 widget sort of thing. The tag line that they have is really amusing

Earn $$ with WidgetBucks!

Some other money makers you would like to have:
  1. Adbux: Earn some easy money(PPC campaign)
  2. Exoclick: Another PPC campaign
  3. SubvertAndProfit : Earn $1 per digg and per stumble you do. But beware, its dangerous as digg or stumbleupon may ban your account.
Hope that you will have some fun and money reading this post.

April's earning

Here is the statement of my april month's earning. Actually it would
be my first online payment. Its quite a headstart for a newbie like
me. Usually I don't display ads on this blog. The reason is this blog
is banned by adsense for encouraging users to click(huh! all I did was
to label those ads as useful links) and it doesn't qualify for TLA.
So all my ads are on some other blog of mine.
Here are the earnings.

Adsense- $362
TLA- $83
Exoclicks- $43
Adbux - $13
Others- $19

Total - $520

Man this internet affilates business is really cool and I kinda
started digging it.

Few Sites For Blogging Dummies Like Me

I have found Some new sites(ok buddy! they are not new, But they are new to me) which can be useful for dummies like me banned from adsense.
Which may help you in getting some money and better Ranking.

  • Text Link Ads is a site which claims to give you $100 in FREE Links. But The problem is that your site has to qualify there standards. Even If your site is not much popular, you can earn upto $40-50 bucks in a month.

  • If you are banned from adsense and would advice you to Join the CrispAds Blog Advertising Network!, as they claim to give you targeted advertisements like Adsense. Here too they will review your site before accepting you.

  • One more site that I would like to recommend is Trafficg. The site is really cool if you have low visits per day and would like to get a cool site like this with higher ranking.

  • Exoclick is also a new PPC site which pays you in the same way as adsense does. But the problem here is that the CPM is low and the ADs are not targetted.

  • And Ofcourse I would recommend my site, so that you can get to grow and earn with a dummy like me.

Google is going the MSN way

Google is removing all the backlinks to sites from its database. I
think they are going the msn way or they are 'revolutionising' the
search AGAIN!! They might have come up with an AWESOME new algorithm
which's impossible to tweak.
We all tend to blame google for being so strict on its policies, but
the fact is, since google has become popular, every tom, dick and
harry wanted to screw google's ass. People are having complex about
google's success. They always try to find a way so that they can screw
google.
But, the reality is that, all these things are leading google to
perfection. Now google is dominating the internet market through its
adsense campaign. Larry and Sergey are reaping gold from their
ingenious ideas.
Everyone else is jealous. Why?
Just think....

Sites Where You Can Earn Money

More and more people are blogging today. It's becoming popular around the world. What is good with it is you can blog just about anything you want to talk about. Your life, day to day activities, friends, acquaintances, academic matters, small to big businesses, real estate and a lot more topics that you encounter everyday. You have freedom of expression and the rules aren't that strict. It's been a good way to make money online too.

I've started blogging on MyLot and I've found it very entertaining and profitable. MyLot is a good way to earn money without investing and membership is free. When you refer your friends, you get commission from their earnings. It also has a very friendly environment. It is for this reason that I started to scout on the net for other paid to blog sites. It wasn't easy at the start but after visiting blogs, forums and search engines, I was able to join in a lot of them. I made my own list and thought that maybe it's better to include it in my blog so I could help other individuals who want to work online, either to keep themselves busy, a part time job or later on a full time online job.

Another such site is senserely which share its online revenue with you using adsense.

There are some sites which pay you for doing your routine works using their services. One such site is Slashmysearch.
It pays you for searching using its cool search engine. Isn't that cool? You can use it for searching what you are looking for and you will be paid for it. cool na?

A site which pays you for clicking on ads is Adbux . This one is pretty original and payout is also low i.e. $5 which can be credited to your paypal account.

Globalcashclicks is a same sort of site which pays you for clicking on ads and have minimal payout of $1. Which is really cool..

Wordlinx is a similar website but sometimes payments are quite low and sometimes there are no ads to click:(

Sites of the day

Adbux allows you to earn money by clicking on the ads they shoew you for 15 seconds.
The great thing about this is that you get paid $0.01 per page viewed and you get paid the same amount if your referrals view the pages too.

They have low payout of 5 bucks which can be credited to your Paypal account.

SlashMySearch allows you to earn money for searching through its search engine. You have to search genuinely cause it won't pay you for click but for your activity within the site. you have cool offers and payout is $25. We all use some search engine for searching. Why not this. Moreover its collabrated with snap, which allows you to see a snapshot of the site you are going to visit. A cool google alternative.
